The CSCA Hosts the Small Business Seminar, Part II

On February 25, 2008, The CSCA will host its second small business seminar geared toward those individuals interested in forming a personal chef or catering business or those looking to start a small café/restaurant.  This seminar will outline the steps one should consider before opening a business. The seminar will also address issues surrounding incorporating one's business.

CSCA graduate and Attorney James A. Demotses, Esq., PCP '08, will lead the seminar and will discuss various possibilities for organizing a small business and will define and discuss sole proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and common local and state licensing issues.  Additionally, there will be a small panel of CSCA alumni present to share information about their own personal chef, catering, and restaurant businesses.  There will be a Q&A session with James and the alumni panel at the conclusion of the presentations.

The seminar is open to all current students and CSCA alumni. Contact Jenifer Murray 617-354-2020 ext. 124 or jmurray@cambridgeculinary.com to rsvp.  There is no fee to attend, but a donation to the Alumni Kit Campaign is requested.
