CSCA Students Assist Food TV's Sara Moulton at Mall Event

For the third year, Simon Malls hosted a live, free, two-day-long celebration of food, cooking, and wine on May 6 and May 7, 2006. The event, Super Chefs Live, was an interactive cooking demonstration featuring stars from the Food Network and chefs from local restaurants.

A group of students from The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts assisted Food Network star Sara Moulton while she demonstrated recipes from her most recent cookbook, Sara's Secrets for Weeknight Meals. Bill Boggs, 4-time Emmy-award winner, hosted the event, which also featured cooking demonstrations by area chefs Paul Delios (Paolo's Trattoria and Meze Restaurant), Mary Dumont (The Dunaway Restaurant), Jay Murray (Grill 23), and Brian Jenkins (Sintra Restaurant). In addition to cooking demonstrations and product placement from Barilla, representatives from Kendall-Jackson wineries provided short lectures on wine tasting.

CSCA students participating in the weekend event, held at the North Shore Mall in Peabody and at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, were Professional Pastry Program students Mindy Reiser, Carlene O'Garro, and Melissa Mack and Professional Chef's Program students Jaron Dubinsky and Terri Rutter.

CSCA students also assisted Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook at the 2005 Super Chefs Live event and Mary Ann Esposito and Jacques Pepin at the 2004 Super Chefs Live event.
