Rustic Kitchen and The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts Introduce "Chef for a Night"
The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts is teaming up with Rustic Kitchen in Porter Square to offer second semester students the opportunity, experience, and curriculum credit, of being a “Chef for a Night” at the award-winning Italian-inspired bistro.
Two students, a sous chef and a pastry chef, will be selected the third Wednesday of every month to work closely with Rustic Kitchen’s Culinary Director, Tom Holloway. Students will take an active roll in menu planning and dish descriptions, shopping for the ingredients, working with the kitchen and waitstaff, and preparing the dishes for one night during busy dinner hours.
Both Student Chefs' names will appear on the menu for that evening and they will also be given credit for classes by The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts to go toward their graduation credits.
The next team of student chefs will be “in the kitchen” on Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Terri Rutter will be the Student Sous Chef and Yanca Ismail will be the Student Pastry Chef. Reservations recommended! All friends, family, and alumni are invited to attend.
