Jessica Scott PCP '07 Is Nominated for "People's Best New Pastry Chef New England" by FOOD & WINE Magazine
Voting begins on February 8th for FOOD & WINE's First-Ever "the People's Best New Pastry Chef"
[February 8, 2012] After 24 years of naming America’s Best New Chefs, FOOD & WINE Magazine is ready for dessert: F&W editors are searching for the Best New Pastry Chef in the country.
Jessica Scott, a graduate of The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, is the pastry chef at Craigie on Main in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned her Professional Chef's diploma in 2007. She has worked in the pastry departments of Boston's L'Espalier and Petit Robert Bistro restaurants and at Straight Wharf Restaurant in Nantucket.
Voting began February 8, 2012, for FOOD & WINE's The People's Best New Pastry Chef 2012, selected by readers in an online poll and presented by Godiva. Until February 14, 2012, at midnight, readers can visit www.foodandwine.com/the-peoples-pastry-east to vote for Jessica Scott and to view the up-and-coming pastry chefs nominated in the East region. There are 50 nominees total.
The finalists and the winner of The People's Best New Pastry Chef award will be announced on foodandwine.com on February 15, 2012. The winner will be profiled in the "Hungry Crowd" column of the May 2012 issue of FOOD & WINE, on newsstands April 13, 2012, and will attend the 30th anniversary of the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, June 15-17, 2012, where he or she will share his or her treats as co-host of Godiva's activation in the FOOD & WINE Grand Tasting Pavilion.
